Huss Valley Chaser Guide — Intercepts & Ability Choices
Intercept the Runner’s next position. Chasing the place they just occupied wastes momentum and gives their sideways dash more room to work.
Aim ahead of the moving Runner
At about 3:46–4:09, ItzVexo recommends aiming in front of a moving player and looking for groups instead of following only one target. Roonby similarly recommends anticipating the Runner’s path.
Read the direction
Watch the Runner’s current lane and whether they have room to dash left or right.
Move toward the meeting point
Cut across their likely route instead of following directly behind their previous position.
Leave room for a juke
A Runner can change laterally. Do not commit all your movement to a narrow line before their dash.
Use the current catch prompt
Follow your current client’s action label. NoobBlox narrates Space to catch; that alone does not establish the binding for every version or device.
Reassess after a catch
The guides and videos describe catches adding pressure as the Chaser side grows. Change your next intercept to match the remaining group rather than repeating the same pursuit.
Why groups can be better targets
A group gives you several possible intercepts and makes it harder for every Runner to use the same safe lane. Pick a route that cuts through the group’s likely crossing path; do not assume you can catch everyone with one swing.
As more Chasers join, spread your attention across likely exit lanes. The inspected sources do not establish a formal team formation or voice-call strategy, so this is a path-reading principle rather than an assigned-position system.
Choose the catch problem you want to solve
Prices are Roonby’s October 4 guide snapshot. They are useful for a spending comparison, but the current shop controls your actual purchase.
| Problem | Guide-listed choice | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Runner is too far to reach quickly | Rocket Shoes — 850 Gems | A dash closes a gap; no exact distance or cooldown was established. |
| Runner escapes the edge of melee reach | Big Dagger — 900 Gems | Guide reports double range for the next hit within 5 seconds; it still requires an attack opportunity. |
| Runner is directly ahead but just outside your position | Rufus’s Leash — 1,200 Gems | Guide reports a forward pull up to 6 studs; no guaranteed hit follows from the description. |
| Considering Bowling Ball | Inspect its current shop entry | CHALLS names it, but the inspected caption does not establish price or precise effect. |
Respond to the Runner’s ability
ItzVexo says a Pocket Door lasts six seconds and forces you to break through it or go around. Choose the route that keeps the Runner’s likely exit in reach rather than staring at the obstacle.
An Inflatable Decoy moves a copy forward. Recheck the real player’s direction instead of following the first moving shape. The guide says Cloak users remain hittable; predict their route rather than treating invisibility as a new catch rule.
Consumables can create an opening
The guide describes Banana Peel as a contact trip, Rescue Kit as a single self-revive and Adrenaline as five seconds of improved acceleration and cornering. A Banana Peel setup can disrupt a crossing, but no inspected source establishes placement range, item prices or stacking.
Check whether the current mode lets your role equip the chosen item. Plan around its described effect and the single-use limitation, then confirm the client’s item prompt.
